Joe P. is an actor, poet and comedian. He has a Bachelor in Radio, Television & Film, with a minor in Theatre, from Clark Atlanta University where he was a member of the CAU Players, and hosted his own radio show, “The Jimmy Joe Show.” His repertoire of acting performances includes Black Voices at the National Black Theatre Festival; Ashes to Africa at The Ensemble Theatre, where he is also in his third year as a member of the Touring Education Program; and the Acting Bootcamp with Woodie King, Jr. at the University of Louisville.

 

Joe P. has performed his poetry in churches throughout Houston, including Windsor Village United Methodist Church and Kainos Community Church. He was one of the producers and featured poets of New Renaissance at The Ensemble Theatre, and the featured entertainer at a special event for the cast of The Color Purple. Joe P. is a regular on rosters at the Shadow Bar on Sundays and G’s & Z’s. He is a voice for the "forgotten generation," using his poetry to provoke thought, entertain, and tell the stories of those who continue to go unheard.

The poet D.E.E.P. is a nationally known Poet and Author, recently ranked as the #2 Best Female Poet in the Nation" at the Women of the World National poetry slam. She just released her debut album "The Unfinished Work of a Genius." She was the Cafe Nuba Slam Champion of 2008. She has been writing for 8 years and performing for 5. She has shared the stage with such names as John Legend, Reggie Gibson, Slum Village, Def Poet Sunni Paterson, and the legendary Amiri Baraka.
